I was just sitting here this morning reading an article about a motorcycle wreck. It was a very tragic motorcycle crash with the loss of a young man’s life. He was just 32-years-old.
What this really is, to me, is a reminder of not only how precious life is, but also about how important driver safety is. Not just for everybody, but especially for motorcycle riders who have no vehicle around them for added safety and protection in the event of an accident.
If you are reading this blog and you’re in Atlanta, or any other place, I’m sure you’ve seen motorcycles zip by at excessive speeds. According to the news article, this is what led to the motorcyclist’s loss of life. This rider was operating his motorcycle at an excessive speed, lost control, and the outcome was simply tragic.
Motorcyclists who drive recklessly face potentially catastrophic outcomes. But these accidents can be avoided by obeying the speed limit and using caution. Drivers, please remember to look for motorcycles and give them the proper space they need to operate safely.
