Daniel Nicholson is an associate attorney at Burrow & Associates in the Personal Injury practice group, where he represents individuals injured due to the negligence of others.
Daniel received his undergraduate degree from the State University at Albany and his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School, both located in the heart of the capital district of New York. During law school, Daniel was President of the Albany Law School Rugby Football Club, founded in 1966, and served as Director of the Kinship Care Pro Bono Society, helping families stay together and assisting non-parent caregivers in need of support and resources. Daniel was also a founding member of the Albany Bootleggers, a social rugby club focused on fraternity and charity, adopting local families during the holidays and hosting annual fundraisers for cancer research and wounded military veterans.
Daniel is admitted to practice in both New York and Georgia and after graduating from law school, he worked for one of the largest defense law firms in the country, defending insurance companies from complex, highly-technical construction defect lawsuits. He now utilizes that insider’s experience to level the playing field for his clients in the court room.
Daniel is highly involved in the Georgia rugby community, serving on the board of Rugby Georgia, the official State Rugby Organization (SRO) for the State of Georgia under the national governing body of USA Rugby, and as a volunteer youth rugby coach for the Etowah River Valley Rugby Football Club (ERVRFC), located out of Cherokee County, Georgia. During their inaugural season ERVRFC took first place in regular season play, clinching a first seed berth to the Georgia State Championship Playoffs. ERVRFC then won the 2018 Carolina Ruggerfest Coastal Plains Division Cup Championship, one of the largest youth rugby tournaments in the country. Daniel reserves hitting the pitch for special occasions as a social player.
